EnCompass has been incredibly blessed to be a part of several mission opportunities. The Elders do a good job of allowing God to direct the finances of the church, we believe fully that this is God's money and our spending should reflect as such. 
Sometimes those opportunities look like helping out a member who has found themselves in a hard place. Sometimes they look like providing food for the hungry, clothes for the cold, or help for the needy. We believe there is an equal importance to pour into both local and over seas missions.
 2 Corinthians 9:77 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.

Over seas missions include both Nepal and Haiti.
Matthew 28:19 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

In Nepal, we have a full time missionary family, living on the support and prayers of church family and friends. This family is busy spreading the gospel to places, that otherwise, would never hear of Christ. They are the hands and feet of Christ and we want them to be financially able to do so. 
Mark 16:15 15 Then he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

In Haiti, we support an orphanage called Children of Light. This orphanage has a large age range of children that would otherwise not have the means to have food on their plate. We are in close contact with the man that leads this orphanage and speak with him regularly. We know that the money goes towards food, school supplies, household needs and medical aid for these kids.
