At EnCompass, we believe that each person is uniquely designed, created, and equipped by God to fulfill the great commission. Each one of us has strengths, skills, talents, and callings that are meant to be used to glorify God and bring lost and broken people closer to Him.
We also believe that visible acts of mercy are an effective way to communicate God’s love for this broken and desperate world. When we think in these terms, we remember Matthew 25:40 “as you did it to the least of these my brothers you did it to me.” We want to embrace this scripture and use it to motivate us to use mercy ministry as an act of worship toward our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to demonstrate our love toward hurting people.
In Acts 1:8 we see the model for how we should approach evangelism. “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” We should reach out to those close to us “Jerusalem,” those in the neighboring communities “Judea,” as well as those who we don’t see eye to eye with, the outsiders if you will, “Samaria.” And finally, we should desire to minister anywhere and everywhere the Lord would lead us…even unto the ends of the earth! The important thing is to go where He leads us.
We also believe that discipleship should be at the core of everything we do here at EnCompass. This brings to mind Matthew 28:19 “go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” We want to show people how to follow the teachings of Jesus. We want to see their lives transformed as a result. We at EnCompass want to passionately embrace this scripture and fulfill this calling on our lives.
These three scriptures form the foundation for our philosophy on missions here at EnCompass. The beautiful thing is that we believe these three scriptures overlap, and fulfilling one leads to fulfilling the others. When we find ourselves in the center, we find ourselves in God’s perfect plan for our lives.
We want to be involved in mercy ministry, evangelism, and discipleship both locally and internationally. We want to go to those close to home who are broken and hurting as well as to the poorest places on earth and plant seeds of hope and mercy and love. We want to partner with local ministries in the hardest to reach places in order to equip them to bring glory to God and spread His message of hope.

Locally we are pursuing the following ministries: visiting at the nursing home, prison ministry at Greene County jail, food distribution, handyman ministry, and EnCompass Christmas Angel tree.
Internationally we support Operation Christmas Child, Children of Light orphanage in Haiti, as well as short-term missions’ trips to Haiti. We pray for the Jacksons in Japan and their work among unreached people, and we are making efforts to plant village churches in Nepal where the gospel is unknown.
We believe that everyone’s calling is different. We know that every member is an important and integral part of God’s plan for EnCompass. Whether you are called to pray, to give, or to go, we encourage you to get involved in missions and mercy ministry both here in Greene county and to the ends of the earth. With all our hearts we want to see you fulfill the calling that God has placed in your life and as a member we are committed to supporting you and encouraging you and equipping you for that calling.
